Published in Stampers Sampler

I had two cards published in the newly released Aug/September Stampers Sampler. They were both for the Frightful & Delightful challenge. Sorry for the bad pictures but it seems I don't have my own pictures of them and needed to crop them out of the magazine itself.

Gorgeous Paper!

I was in Archiver's yesterday and spotted this absolutely gorgeous paper by The Paper Company. I thought it was some of the prettiest paper ever.
When paper is this lovely it's very easy to turn it into scrapbook pages -- which I promptly did!

Tag Tuesday Challenge #10 -- Metallics

This week's challenge is to use metallics (silver, gold, bronze) in any way you like. I've used it in my background here. I silver embossed my cardstock and then stamped a crackle background onto it. And, of course, it's ATC sized!
I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
And I've got an RAK this week for one participant -- a CD of love themed stamps from See-Dees.

Magazine Inspired Tag Challenge -- Sampler

Many remarked this week they thought my "magazine inspiration" was definitely a challenge. But it was very cool to see what these bloggers came up with when challenged. I was so impressed by these contributions. I thought this week if you haven't already I'd let you pop over to their blogs to see what they created:
Pam chose a background from her country living magazine.
Char used a travel zine background for her tag.
This daisy background was embellished to perfection by Sarah.
Lynn blew me away with her fauna and dragonfly tag.
Faye did a new twist on the perfume bottle.
I love what Christine did with the man's shirt on her tag.Love what Nancy did with this vintage cocoa ad.
Evelyn rocked this challenge with her violin.
Talk about sweet feet -- Buffy's tag was divine!
I love what Rhonda did with these vases!
Jacqueline made two tags, but I really love the one with her garden pot.
And a vintage magazine was Paula's inspiration.

Think Monday, Think ATC

I've been "Thinking ATC" a lot more than just Monday lately! Got a few more made this weekend.
Today's theme at the Monday ATC challenge site was "King or Queen." Here is my contribution.
The background is an embossed Tim Holtz ATC stamp.

TGIF -- Words

Yup, you guessed it -- another ATC. So that makes 86 out of the 150 I need to make. This one features one of my favorite stamps -- the round frame from Autumn Leaves. Works perfectly for this ATC.
And the word is one of my favorites t00 -- so it's perfect for TGIF's challenge to use a word or words in your art.

Theme Thursday -- ATC's

Well, I couldn't have been happier to see the theme at Theme Thursday was ATC's. I'd decided to join in the ATC swap on the cruise, so I am going to be needing about 150 ATC's. I've got about 85 made so far.
This was one of the recent ones I made. I've been using some of the Tim Holtz ATC background stamps. Kind of simple but, hey, when you need 150 of them.......

Digital Two for Tuesday

My future bunk mate, Sarah, is the hostess for this week's Digital Two for Tuesday. Two images are offered up each week to create with. I downloaded this black and white image and then colored it with Copics. And since it was Tuesday -- I made a tag.

You can see the other image and what's been created with them at http://digitaltuesday.blogspot.com/.

Tag Tuesday Challenge #9 -- Magazine Inspiration

I've done this a few times with the perfume bottle images I found in magazines. I just love to use them as an inspiration point. I also found a gorgeous blue butterfly background, so I incorporated both of them into today's tag. I stamped my image inside the perfume bottle. A little scary, I was afraid it wouldn't come out centered and I'd ruin the only one I had. I turned the stamp upside down and laid my paper on top of it and pressed down with an acrylic block. It came out perfectly. I then colored the perfume bottle in with a Copic marker.
Which gave me the idea for this week's challenge: Use something you find in a magazine to create your tag. It's as easy as that! Link back here and let me see what you've come up with!

Okay, this week we really will have a "sampler" as time did not allow me to make a slideshow of all the entries. This is just a taste of the wonderful tags that people shared this week using stamps only.
Thanks again to all who participated!

ATC - Moon

Think Monday, Think ATC has chosen "moon" as their theme in honor of the 40th anniversary of man's walking on the moon.
I didn't have much in the way of stamps, but I did manage to find a transparent moon in my Halloween stash that I could use as a mask for this ATC. The border stamp is by Sugar Lump Studios and the ticket is part of an ATC stamp from Tim Holtz which I then stamped the word moon on.

Gothic Arch Challenge -- Marie Antoinette

The challenge at Gothic Arches today is "Marie Antoinette." I so enjoyed creating the ATC arches the other week, so I made this trio of ATC arches.
All stamps are by Oxford Impressions.

TGIF

When I saw the theme this week at TGIF was "A piece of heaven," this little angel popped immediately into mind. I really love this stamp from Oxford Impressions and use it quite a lot.
I thought she'd also be perfect for an encouragement card I need to send to a friend.
The paper is from K&Co.

Theme Thursday -- Stripes

Here is my ATC for the challenge at Theme Thursday calling for "stripes."
My mannequin stamp is by Lost Cost Designs. The label is from Inkadinkado.

Tuesday Tag Challenge #8 -- Stamp Away!

There's a special inspiration for my challenge tag this week. You can read more about it at the end of this post. But the challenge I am posting is one that calls for you to stamp away! That is, use only stamps and ink. No background papers, embellishments, etc. But the theme can be anything you'd like.
Link back here so I can come and see what you've created!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now for my inspiration for this tag: I am getting very excited about a special trip I'll be taking in October. I am going on Tim Holtz' stamping cruise to Mexico! I am so excited!!
Another special part of the trip is my bunk mate will be THIS stamper/collector of all things. And we will be traveling with THIS stamper/computer genius and her hubby as well!
Emboss It Challenge Results
I can't call it a sampler, because this is every single submission for the Emboss It Challenge. Forgive me if I overlooked anyone, and please let me know if I did. Eighteeen this week! And so much eye candy here, I'm blown away.
TMTA - Fly
Two ATC's I made using butterfly masks. For the first one I used distress inks and the second one I created with chalks. These are for Think Monday, Think ATC's "fly" challenge today.
Tag Tuesday Challenge #7
Emboss It!
That's the challenge for this week -- pretty easy, right? Use embossing in any way you'd like on your tag. Link back here so I can come and see what you've created!
I'm really enjoying this Tag Tuesday challenge. It feels like a day when all my friends come over to my house and we stamp and hang out:)
~~~~~~~~~~~
For my tag I gold embossed one of my favorite heart stamps by Stampington. I also added a love sentiment stamp by StampinUp. I then added distress ink to the tag and finished up with a transparent photo by ArtChix Studios.

Tag Tuesday Challenge #6 -- Sampler

Here are the entries to the Window tag challenge. I was surprised, given the holiday weekend, that we had as many entries as we did. And, again, they were all so well thought out and created. Thanks everyone, I really enjoy looking at every one of them.
I have a pack of vintage ephemera to give out this week randomly to one participant. And that participant happens to be: Jacqueline!
Congrats, Jacqueline. I'll get this in the mail in the next day or so.

Gothic Arches

The challenge at Gothic Arches today is to create an ATC sized arch. Which isn't so easy because by the time you create an arch on an ATC you haven't much space left to work with! I went off the page a little bit with my hanging frame and gold scrap, but otherwise I stayed inside the lines:)
You can see the other arches at http://gothicarches.ning.com.

TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday -- and thank goodness that the TGIF challenge blog has posted a challenge where I was forced to pull out my much neglected fruit stamps. Their challenge calls for pears, apples, peaches. I had a couple pear stamps -- plus pineapple, watermelon, lemon, grape, strawberry. All of which I have not even thought about for ages. So you may be seeing fruit popping up a lot in the future:)
For my card I used a small pear stamp by Art Impressions and I do not know who makes the larger pear. I hand wrote pear across the fruit.
Today begins a three-day weekend for us to celebrate the 4th of July. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

Art Creations Friday

I taught a class this week at the LSS on paper collage, so I've still been in a mood to play around with paper. This weeks' offering from Art Creations Friday fit in nicely with the paper from Graphic 45 I've become so fond of.
You can see all the other submissions at http://artcreationsfriday.blogspot.com/.

Wednesday Stamper

Good 'ole red, white and blue -- our flag colors. And that is the theme from Wednesday Stamper today, to create something in the colors of your flag. I'm still going with my America the Beautiful background. If I don't use it at this time of the year, I don't know when I will.
I then stamped over that with this farm scene from Artistic Outpost. I taped over some
parts of the stamp I didn't want to show up. The word "home" is from AO as well.
Don't know about you, but I cannot believe it's July 1st already. Half the year is over.....amazing!
