TagTuesday Challenge -- Christmas "Colors" in July

They've been putting up the Christmas merchandise at Hobby Lobby for weeks already -- staying true to the "Christmas in July" concept.  So for today's challenge I thought we would do Christmas "colors" in July.  Which means to create a tag using the traditional Christmas colors of red and green -- but do NOT make it a Christmas tag.   Bring these colors into a tag that has some other theme than Christmas.

For my tag I used some of my favorite things I showed in my last post, including the Bingo card from Tim Holtz' Lost and Found paper pack and the twinchie from Lisa's Altered Art.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

Went to a Stamin'Up new catalog party yesterday.  Really like that the catalog seems to have a lot of vintage related items this year.  Some great papers, embellishments and stamps.

Finally got my hands on some of the Tim Holtz Lost and Found Paper.   At Michael's.   With a 40 percent off coupon.  Yeah!!!

The assortment of papers in this one pack is amazing.   I am just in love with the vintage photos.  What I love about his 12x12 paper packs is it comes with not only 12 x 12 sheets but also 6x6 squares, ATC sized squares and twinchie sized as well.  

(He's been showing some amazing CHA previews the last few weeks and this seasonal paper pad which he shows here and is my next "must have."

Tag Tuesday Challenge #60 -- Faces

Today's Tag Tuesday Challenge is "Faces."

Like all of us, some tags I create for this challenge I like better than others.  Just for the record, I really like the way this week's tag turned out.  I didn't know where I was going with it to start out except that I wanted to use the circular face image for this week's face challenge.   I created the background with alcohol inks on glossy cardstock and then stamped with Staz-On.

Tag Tuesday Challenge #59 -- Hearts

We are back today with a new challenge after the two-week summer challenge.   Our new challenge today is "hearts."  Simply incorporate a heart of some kind into your tag.  Use whatever medium you like.

For my tag, I used stamps by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.   I created the background with Distress Inks.   I then added a scroll that unwinds to show the message shown above.
