After giving this a lot of thought I'd come to the realization that life is way too busy and I'm wanting to get involved in some other activities and, therefore, something just has to go. It appears that Tag Tuesday is going to be one of them. And, sorry to say, there's no final challenge, this is just going to have to be the end.
I appreciate every single one of you that joined in enthusiastically week after week. And I can think of so many of you I came to know just because you joined in this challenge.
So thank you all for checking out and joining in the challenge week after week for this past year and a half.
I'm also thankful to Pam who created the blog banner so many of you shared. Yes, feel free to remove those.
I'll still be blogging -- in fact, stay tuned for some fun things coming this way soon. And, of course, I'll still
be creating tags here and there.
Oh, Louise, sorry to read that you'll drop this challenge. It was one of my favorites. But I can understand that things have changed and you're looking for new activities.
ReplyDeleteI thank you for all those wonderful themes and hope you'll have a creative time in future. Of course I'll come and take a look.
I'll miss this challenge, for sure - it's definately been fun so thank you for running it for so long and so well. I'll stay in tune with your blog to see what you get up to! All the best with your new ventures.
ReplyDeleteoh such a shame, but I know what it's like there is always other things to do!
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame, but I do agree, time is precious and sometimes we get too busy so some tings have to end. It has been lovely while it lasted and we have all gained ideas and inspiration from 'Tag Tuesday', so thanks so much for enabling us to share it with you. Good luck with your future plans.... Sue x
ReplyDeleteLouise... Sorry to read that the TT has to go. So much inspiration and wonderful ideas found here. Thank you for being the hostess for as long as you did!
ReplyDeleteI popped by here today to see what the challenge for this week would be....I said outloud as I read this post...ahhh too bad but thanks for doing it as long as you have and thanks for all the ideas
ReplyDeletewith all the tags. I think we can all relate to the issue of not enough hours in the day...good luck in your new direction and I look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve.
Louise I popped over to take a note of the new challenge only to read your news.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I haven't always been able to join week in week out, Tag Tuesday was my favourite challenge and because of you I found a love for tag art.
It's understandable that when life gets crazy, something has to give.
Thanks for lots of great challenges. I wish you the best for your new ventures and will keep you as a Blog favourite so I can see what you are getting up to. Of course, there are always Stampington & co publications where I will see your art published lol.
Wishes
Lynne M
So sorry to see TT go and the highlight that it was for all of us on Tuesdays!
ReplyDeleteThank you for so many wonderful weeks of challenges and the little tag community we had built together.
This is so sad news, although I did not take part regularly, I'll miss the challenge but life sometimes gets crazy and you have to choose. Thank you so much for all the inspiration and wonderful ideas. Wishing you all the best for your new ventures, Petra. x
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this.. Even though I never participated in "Tag Tuesday", having only just begun ANY paper-crafting just around Christmas time of this past year, I still enjoyed stopping here and seeing the tags you and others had made... AND learning from them! Well, whatever you do, and wherever your artistic endeavors lead you, I look forward to seeing it all!
ReplyDeleteOh Louise, thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself with us every Tuesday! We all loved the Tag Tuesday challenge, your gorgeous tags, the wonderful inspiration, the chance to be part of a little community. I can certainly see how much work it was, and how it may have become just too much. It's so very sad to see it all end (wow, it was such a shock this morning, like losing a favorite restaurant or special place - because TT was sort of like that - a "special place"!), but I'll still be visiting to see what you are up to. I'm always inspired by your beautiful work. Hope this opens up your time so you can have a little more fun getting inky!
ReplyDeleteI echo everyone's sentiments. And I have a question - what do you think if I took it over? Could you, Louise, give me the pointers, and would the rest of you participate? I could start a new blog just for Tag Tuesday.
ReplyDeletefeedback appreciated!
Rebecca
Rebecca, I'd love to see Tag Tuesday carrying on - hope you can sort something out!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you won't be hosting TT anymore, Louise. It was very inspirational, even if I didn't have time to participate:(
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and hope you find time to keep it up.
Best wishes...
DebbieK
Hi Louise, I want to tell you how much I've enjoyed Tag Tuesday. I just found you and this challenge about a month ago nad only participated in about 3 weeks I think. I want to say thanks, you and the other participants inspired me and I was encouraged. I love making tags now. Thank you for the fun! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Louise,
ReplyDeleteOh, this was such a fabulous challenge! But, I sure understand how life "just happens" and we have to change what we're doing.
Thank you for having this amazing challenge...Your tremendous talent has been such an inspiration.
Sending (((hugs))) your way,
Cindy
Sorry to hear this, I'll miss this challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks for lots of great challenges
Good luck with your new plans.
Hugs, Christine
I am sorry to hear this. It will be missed.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this, but certainly can understand. I only started blogging a year ago and did join in when I could. It has been a pleasure!
ReplyDeleteI was so surprised when I visited your blog this morning! Tag Tuesday has been such a wonderful art challenge, and it has been so much fun for me to discover how truly awesome tag art can be--I've enjoyed seeing all of the wonderful, wonderful tags you and everyone else create, and I've enjoyed participating whenever I could. I will miss this, but understand that life moves on and things change. Thank you for hosting Tag Tuesday and for all of your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteIf Rebecca was to take over, I would not say I could commit to EVERY month's challenge, as I really just lack the confidence, being just a beginner in paper arts and crafting of the sort; BUT I would LOVE to see Tag Tuesday continue on, and I'm sure I would enjoy giving it a try, and participating whenever I could. ~tina
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad to read this, but totally understand. There are only so many hours in the day and this was so popular, it must have taken a lot of time for you. Even though I didn't always have time to participate, I was always inspired by everyone's artwork and the challenges you came up with. I will still continue stalking you and admiring your wonderful artwork! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have had a ball playing here and learned so much from you and the other artists!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the tag challenges!!!
Definitely sad news when I checked your blog for this week's challenge theme, but I understand how busy things can become. Just wanted to thank you for all the weeks of tag challenges - you always came up with the best themes!
ReplyDeleteLouise, I am sorry that you are going to stop this challenge, but totally understand that some things have to come to an end. Thank you so much for all the time and effort that you have put into the challenges and I will continue to see what is happening on your site and see what you are up to.
ReplyDeleteI am going to miss your little challenge so much.. I do know about being so busy with life.. And I totoally understand.. I will still pop in and see what is happening with you.. I just love seeing all your wonderful Art. You do give me so much inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGood luck my friend with you future Ventures..
all good things must come to an end.
ReplyDeleteThank you for TT and all the friends I have made here.
I know how hard this must have been for you.
xo
Sorry to read this Louise,
ReplyDeletebut thanks for the wonderful time here.
Oh, I'm so sad, Louise, but I do understand. This was one of my favorites. Your themes were dignified and fun to do. Thanks for all the effort you have put into this challenge. It couldn't have been easy. Best wishes in your other ventures.
ReplyDeleteAs the first to post a tag on your first Tag Tuesday, I can say wholeheartedly that I will miss this challenge! However, right before I visited your blog today, I was thinking about how I don't seem to have time to keep up with my favorite blogs any more. Of course, my reawakened interest in photography and the resulting blog has something to do with that. I LOVE tags! And I love how you managed this challenge. I'll still check in on you...and if someone else wants to continue the Tag Tuesday, I'll participate.
ReplyDeleteKudos my friend for a fantastic run of challenges that inspired us, made us scratch our head on occasion and built friendships along the way.
ReplyDeleteHope to hear all about your new endeavors next week when we take on Alabama!
Thank you Louise for the pleasure you have given us all by running Tag Tuesday. I was very nervous when I first submitted a tag but found a very welcoming group of bloggers> Will miss it but totally understand why it has to go.Will still be checking out your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank-You Louise for keeping it going while you could.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand and empathize that sometimes 'LIFE' needs to take up most of our resources and even the things we may love dearly will be left behind in our travels forward.
Many Blessing in the times ahead and I'll still be following!
(((hugs)))
Sarah
This has been a staple for many so I'm sure this challenge will be missed. Best wishes on your endeavors.
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry to hear you need to give up Tag Tuesday, Louise, but completely understandable. Thanks for all the time and effort you have put into the challenges over the past year or so (for me, anyways!), it's been great fun!
ReplyDeleteDarn! Just when I was getting started :) It's O.K., I understand totally. I'll keep a watch on your blog. Oh, I am published in the April/May issue of The Stamper's Sampler. See you in the magazines! Happy Stamping!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about you dropping the challenge. I hope life will take you to new and exciting ventures.
ReplyDeleteLouise, I wanted to say thank you for all of your effort! and because you made it such fun, I am continuing the Tag Tuesday challenge. I certainly won't be you, but I feel confident from being part of such a great challenge that Tag Tuesday, Part Deux will be a success. Please come play if you have the time. Thanks for all of your hard work and faithfulness!!
ReplyDeleteRebecca
Thank you for doing this for so long. Although I only had time to post occasionally, I did enjoy popping in to see everyone´s fabulous creations quite often! I also found a number of women who´s blogs I often check now for inspiration - thank you for that too! Looking forward to what your new adventures will be...
ReplyDeleteLouise, Its been like old home week coming and creating with friends. You have been such an inspiration to me and so many others.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the time and effort you put into Tag Tuesday.
I wish you much success in all your future endeavors.
Hugs Lynn
I'm thrilled to see Rebecca will be carrying on the torch!
I was devastated when I read the news, but then I felt so selfish. Your challenges got me into tag making, and for that I am forever grateful, I love making tags! So thank you for all you have done for us in the past, and have fun doing other things.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this Louise. I've enjoyed your challenge site. But I understand about life being too short, and not having enough time for everything. Best wishes in your endeavors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting us every week. It's my favorite challenge. I wish I could have played more often!
