Always Fabulous

Well, this is my last post as a DT member for Red Rubber Designs.  It's been a fun year and I have loved working with Pam, Sarah and all of the DT gals.
My last card uses the Always Fabulous set which was released this month.  I'm appreciating the sentiment on this card more and more each day!

I'll be taking a little breather here and then stay tuned for what I'll be turning my attention to next -- creatively speaking that is!

Egg Banner -- Red Rubber Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to Red Rubber Design's March blog hop!
Our spotlight stamp this month is Easter Chicks.

I spotted some egg-shaped doilies at the dollar store which I thought would make a cute banner with this set especially since the stamps have sort of a progression of  an Easter basket, an egg and then the little chick popping out of the egg.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This month's contest entails guessing how many Easter candies are in this candy dish.
 Guess correctly and you'll win the spotlight stamp set Easter Chicks. Send your guess to contest@RedRubberDesigns.com.  See the Red Rubber Designs blog for more contest details.
Make sure to visit the rest our Design Team blogs to see more artwork created with this new stamp set:
Kidz Scrapbook Page
Red Rubber Designs has been featuring stamps with children all month, and today's post shows the last of these stamps I'll be using called Girlz and Boyz.  I thought this set would make a perfect background for a scrapbook page.  The little "kidz" are so cute and the words that come with this set made a great border around my page.
The "Memories" I stamped on my tag and the "Place Photo Here" are great scrapbooking stamps from the Memories set.  I also used my favorite speckled stamp to add some background color.  My patterned paper is from the Catelynne collection.
By the way, all patterned papers are 30 percent off until the end of this month!
February Blog Hop -- Red Rubber Designs
The theme for February at Red Rubber Designs is Once Upon a Child.
Which means you'll be seeing all kinds of adorable children-related stamps this month.
Our spotlight stamp for this Thursday's blog hop is "Wonder and Joy."
The little cutie and sentiment from that set was used for my pull-out tag card shown above.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This month the contest will appropriately be childhood related and we're playing Hopscotch! Hop to each blogshown below and leave your footprint (a comment). One blog has the "stone" (but we're not telling you which one!) and a winner will be drawn from everyone who commented on that blog. The winner will receive our February Spotlight Stamp FREE!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also this month Red Rubber Designs is  sponsoring the Sunshine Mail Foundation - formerly "Card Cupids" - for the entire month of February. To help with their cause of providing support and comfort to children in need, they hold card challenges on the 1st and 15th of each month.  You can find out more about this at the Red Rubber Designs blog.
Below are the blogs we'll playing "hopscotch" with -- our regular Design Team and also three guest designers from the Sunshine Mail Foundation.
Sweet Thoughts
An all-occasion card from Red Rubber Design's new release, Thinking Sweet Thoughts.
I paper peiced these gals dresses with paper from the shop at Red Rubber Designs.  Check out their stamps and patterned papers!  Also, this month all cardstock is 30 percent off.
Felt & Burlap Valentines
 These little puppies from Red Rubber Designs seemed like the perfect attachment for my felt and burlap hearts.   They come from the newly released Furry Friends set.
We used to make felt ornaments when we were kids.  Now that I'm older I'm finding that doing the hand stitching is quite relaxing!
Red Rubber Designs - January Blog Hop
Another year begins!  And so does our first blog hop for Red Rubber Designs.  The theme for January is Love and Friendship.  The Design Team will be featuring artwork created from the new set Victorian Hearts.
I thought I'd get away from paper for this first piece and stamp these lovely hearts onto fabric to create a fabric collage.   This piece shows all the hearts that come in the Victorian Hearts set.
And back to paper for this tag that shows off the butterflies that are also included in the featured stamp set.
As usual there's a contest associated with our monthly blog hop.   This month you have to simply
email to contest@RedRubberDesigns.com telling us the name of your favorite featured stamp set for January. We will randomly draw one name from all of our participants and the winner will receive their favorite stamp set! You can find our January Featured Stamps here: Red Rubber Designs.
And don't forget to check out the other Design Team members to see what they've created:
Red Rubber Designs -- June Calendar Page
Still working with flower stamps from Red Rubber Designs to create this June calendar page.  The roses from the Rosa stamp set seemed perfect for June, the wedding month.
I stamped the text on a border strip to add across the bottom of my page.  I stamped and cut out the roses twice.
Red Rubber Design's December Blog Hop
It's all about flowers this month at Red Rubber Designs!
To start us off, the contest for the month is to guess the number of flowers in the floral arrangement in the flower arrangement shown below.
(Only 1 guess is allowed and should be sent to contest@RedRubberDesigns.com.
One winner will be chosen from the correct answers. If there is no correct guess, the person who comes the closest will receive the spotlight stamp " Flowers and Holly". In case of a tie, a random draw will take place between those tied.  Contest ends Sunday, December 9 at midnight CST).
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought I'd begin a calendar for the following year using the flower stamps we'll be showcasing this month.   So from today's set, Flowers and Holly, I chose the holly and pansy for my first two pages.

It took everything I had not to use green and red for the holly, but I forced myself to use some different colors.  I was pleased with the blue and silver holly background for my December page.

 I love pansies, so I chose that flower to create my May page.

I also used the background stamp, Beauty of a Woman, and the dotted lines from this Punctuation set.

Mini Gift Cards

Christmas crafting wouldn't be complete without some mini gift cards to stick into Christmas stockings or attach to presents.  I also think a little sparkle is called for when creating Christmas art, so I've added some here to these tiny cards I made using this Red Rubber Designs set called Christmas Fun.

Winter Sparkles

This trio of snowmen from Red Rubber Designs's Winter Sparkles seem to be indicating "Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil."  There's got to be a snappier version of that for these cute guys.  Any ideas anyone?

Snowflake Tag

I love using old dictionary pages in my artwork, especially when they match up with the theme of my creation.  Here I was able to cut my tag around the "winter" definitions page  and then stamp on it with the Snowflake Block set from Red Rubber Designs.    The stamps behind my acrylic tags are also from this set.
Speaking of Red Rubber Designs, they are having a holiday special and this month you can get free shipping on any order over $20!   Click on the link above to check out their holiday/winter stamps.

Ever So Thankful

Here are two cards I made using Red Rubber Designs "Every So Thankful" stamp set.
Still "Thinking Pink" with this card above..

I added a touch of burlap and some glitter to these traditional fall colors.
I also created the background paper using RRD's gingham background and stamped the leaves in the corner.

Fall Blessings

I had fun creating this scene with the stamps from the Filled With Blessings stamp set from Red Rubber Designs.  I used a dictionary page for my background and colored it with Gelato crayons.

Thanks for the Support -- Think Pink!

Red Rubber Designs has a different slant on their "Just Because" monthly challenge.  As part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, RRD is sponsoring the "Hope You Can Cling To" challenge on SplitCoastStampers.
Our "Just Because" challenge is following along with the same theme using some of RRD's stamps.

Giving Thanks

Today I'm sharing some seasonal blocks I made using 2x2 wooden blocks and some mini clay pots.
Using stamps from Red Rubber Designs, I stamped various images from the Give Thanks set, colored them and attached them to my blocks.
I stamped my candy corn border from the  Filled With Blessings set around the clay pots.  This is really quite easy to do with unmounted stamps.  You don't need to attach them to an acrylic block, you can simply lay the stamp on a flat surface, image side up, of course.  Then ink it up and roll the pot across the stamp.  So easy!   I added a little gold beading around the base of the pots and then attached two of them to my wood blocks.

Halloween Bingo

I'd forgotten about this great Bingo stamp I have from Red Rubber Designs, so I decided to make a little Halloween card using it as a background.  I created a silhouette from RRD's famous bicycle lady.  I used Tim's Halloween ticket stamp as well.
A little spider web corner and a bat -- and Bingo!  it's done.

Journal

If this album looks familiar it's because I showed how to construct it as a Tutorial over at Red Rubber Designs a couple of months ago.   With this months' focus at RRD on vintage, it was the perfect time to show off some of my favorite vintage stamps from RRD.   Some are new this month and others have been available for a while.
