Embossing on Mulberry Paper

I made this birthday card for a young lady I know who is having a birthday next week. I stamped my script on mulberry paper and then embossed it in white. I don't know why this never occurred to me before, possibly because I thought the mulberry paper was too fragile. Anyway, it worked just fine and the effect is quite nice. I then wet the edges and tore them.

My stamping on this card was probably inspired by Jacqueline. It seems like something she would create. I wonder whether she'll agree:)

Hero Arts Inchie Challenge

Here are a couple cards I made for the Hero Arts inchies challenge this week. I could make inchies all day long, but my problem is my supply of Hero Arts stamps is somewhat limited. I have some older ones, but very few new ones. This first one I was able to make only because Chris from 2Peas included this little flower set in an RAK I won during WSW. Thanks, Chris!

This stamp is probably one of my newest Hero Arts stamps. It's a swirled flower pot stamp, and I simply cut a one inch square of it out and added a sentiment. It was pure coincidence that the greeting looks like it's hanging....it's actually just part of the swirl.

This last one is a definition stamp by Hero Arts which I simply overstamped with their floating flowers stamp and then cut into four one-inch squares.

I think maybe this is my favorite.

Bookmark

I love creating stamped backgrounds -- which just happens to be a challenge this week at the Arty Girlz challenge blog. Lots of beautiful creations to see there.

I made these bookmarks for the women in my Bible study group. The background was created by applying gold brilliance ink to my paper as well as brown chalk ink around the edges. I then stamped my bookmark with stamps from Paper Inspirations (diamond pattern, flowers), Hero Arts (French script), and Art Impressions (Scripture verse).

Mother's Day Card

Yesterday's card had one of my favorite color combinations, purple and green. Today's card has another of my favorites, pink and purple. A Mother's Day card using Penny Black flower stamps. Sentiment by Hero Arts.
This close up shows the Brilliance ink (Rocket Red Gold) I used in the flower. I love the shimmer that Brilliance pearlescent inks leave behind.

Inkadinkado Bird

I love this bird by Inkadinkado. I decided to use him for the Hero Arts bird challenge and Lyneen's challenge at Stampin D'Amour calling for birds or butterflies. The little gold embellishment I found at the bottom of my scrap box and seemed to work perfectly here.
