Be Kind

This card came about as I was cleaning out/organizing my odds and ends bag. I kept pulling out stuff I liked and thinking, "Oh, I have to use this. I forgot I had it." Things started coming together and I rather liked the result. However, after I added the "Be Kind" transparency I could not stop thinking of that song, "Be Kind to your Fine Feathered Friends." I was not aiming for that, but that's what evolved.

I didn't actually do any stamping (aside from the K) but I did create the background paper by stamping distress inks onto the paper with crumbled up plastic wrap. I also colored in the girl a bit with my chalk pencils. I have quit trying to apply chalk from squares. I never found an applicator I was happy with. The chalk pencils work so much better.
The female image is from the Memories of a Lifetime CD. The birds are from Crafty Secrets. The script tag is from K&Co.

This is sooo gorgeous Louise, love the colours and whole layout! Yes kindness is a virtue and I was recently very inspired by a blog that spoke about the kindness of God. So your card just inspired me again!

Such a sweet little girl with the birds. And isn't it fun when the card takes on a life of it's own -- that's the real fun in creating -- not what you originally planned but better!
