This started out as a Father's Day card, but then I ran across this little sentiment stamp that seemed perfect for my lighthouse. In fact, I don't think I've ever used that sentiment before, don't even know where it came from. Anyway, it seemed a good match, so I have an encouragement card instead. Seem to need a lot of those lately, so it will go to good use.
I know I got the lighthouse at a used stamp sale. It's by Stampendous. I colored it with watercolor markers. I use my acrylic blocks to wipe some of the marker on, and then with my Dove blender pen add the color to the image. Once again, I made my own scalloped frame with my scalloped scissors, trimming closely around the oval.
I wanted the chipboard tag to be white, but it seemed just adding white ink to it did not give very good cover. So I covered it with a light green ink first as a basecoat and then added the white dye ink. It took the color much better. I added some torquoise ink around the edges.

This is a lovely card! everything so beautifully put together.
This sentiment does go really well with the lighthouse - love the colors, too!
