Last night I organized all the $1 clear stamps I have collected the last few months. I felt I was not getting much use out of them keeping them in their sets, so I put them all in CD cases in various categories -- all the flowers together, all the sentiments together, etc. I think that will motive me to use them more. I decided to then go ahead and create a card using some of them -- something bright and flowery, getting away from the collage and vintage mode I have been in. However, as easy as these cards may look, I just could not get one card together that I liked totally. So here are a couple of the variations I worked on.
This one uses that Rhonna Farrer bird and a sentiment from the Studio G collection from Michael's.

Now why didn't I think of that???Louise, what a good idea! I feel exactly the same way about all my little, clear $1.00 stamps-- I've been so fixated on keeping them in sets, I don't think I've even scratched the surface of their potential. I therefore resolve to rearrange them and stop being so anal about sets.
Thanks for a wonderful nudge along the path of creativity!
Love all the cards. How did you do the blue tab?
I LOVE these. The bird is one of my fave stamps. Perfect little cards.
Great cards, I love that birdie stamp,(which I also have thanks to you!) and the bright colours you've used are great.
Cute! But did you notice that the "a little note" seems to be missing the second "l"? At least my set is. I have mine in their packages yet, but in one of the small Mary Engelbreit photo albums (slide in from the top) at the moment. You may be right about getting better use out of them. Thanks for some good inspiration to head into the weekend.
These cards are great. I have taken my clear $ sets apart and keep them in CD cases, all the sentiments together,, flowers, etc. They are great. Love that bird have been chasing him for months.
