Handmade Paper

One of the things we did on my stamping retreat this past weekend was make handmade paper. I had never done this before and found it quite interesting. Would I repeat the process at home? No. But it was fun to have done it once. No tutorial here, just to say we mixed plain turquoise paper, some ribbon scraps, and some glittery stuff into a blender and ended up with this beautiful paper from which I then made these three cards.

I'm not so much a textured type myself but the cards are lovely and the colour combo is gorgeous!

The middle one is my favorite. I think the handmade paper is cool, but wouldn't go to the trouble, either. Glad your experimenting netted such lovely results.

These are lovely!! I've had grandiose notions of making paper (and even have a small press) but have yet to actually make the mess... seeing these results make me think it just might be worthwhile :)

That paper is so pretty. Love the texture and how you used it. Also love that image on the middle card :)

Beautiful!
love your paper and your cards Louise! the colours work beautifully together, and I love all the 'thread type texture' in the paper.
I gave my papermaking kit away a few years ago, messy business..lol!!!
