Memory Box

I found this little shadow box from Martha Stewart in the clearance aisle of Michael's for $2. It was just calling my name! I created a memory box using some of the things I've been saving from my mom such as the handkerchief in the background and the silver pin. The picture of her is when she was pregnant with me.

What a beautiful way to use things that are usually hidden away in drawers or boxes somewhere. This is a wonderful keepsake. I'll bet your mom even handstitched the edges of the handkerchief!

Aha! I have saved the same things....for 20 years...I may be able to put them together in a memory box like yours! Thanks for sharing this--it's inspiring and special for you and me!

Sometimes I bookmark things and forget about them. As I was cleaning some out today, I came across this post. I have somethings of my Dad's that my mother gave me that I've not known quite how to put together in a shadow box. Seeing this today helps me a lot. Not overly cluttered, and beautifully arranged. Thanks, Louise!
