Stampers Sampler & a Menopausal Moment

First, my menopausal moment:
Today on the way home from work I stopped at the drive-thru of McDonald's to get a vanilla ice cream cone.
The server upon hearing my order says you want an icy coke?
No, I want a vanilla ice cream cone.
Would you like a vanilla shake? (At least I think this is what he said. I being to notice some language problems.)
No, I want a vanilla ice cream cone.
We go round and round at the drive thru. Convinced he doesn't understand me, I pull up to the pick up window where he tries to give me a vanilla shake.
I say no, I want a vanilla cone (making the motion of ice cream filling a cone.)
Oh, no, we don't have those.
What do you mean you don't have those? Every McDonald's has ice cream cones. Let me speak to someone else (I'm getting kind of testy at this point.)
Somebody else affirms this man, they do not have ice cream cones.
I drive off in a huff muttering how unbelievable it is that this McDonald's out of the hundreds of thousands in the world is the only one that doesn't have ice cream cones...
And as I pull out I realize I am at Burger King!

Now for the Stampers Sampler part of this post: It was nice this month when I spotted a complementary issue of the June/July issue of SS in my mailbox to see I actually had a card published (last month I got the comp issue -- but no cards in it:(

This card was sent in for a call for 4th of July cards with red and blue flowers.

LOL!!! it's a good thing I wasn't dring anything, or my computer screen would have been ruined! Thanks for sharing that story. Congratulations on the card. Question? Do you have all your comp copies still? and where do you keep them?

evidently dring is short for drinking... I was still cracking up when I typed that.

I just have to say that I'm glad I'm not the only one who does things like that.

And congrats on the published card!!
