TGIF

Thank God It's Friday's challenge gave me yet another idea for my puzzle pieces. When I saw that their challenge this week was "paper rests" I confess I was not sure what it was. Which makes it a real challenge! After looking at some of the participants' creations, I assume it's what I consider paper piecing. If I'm wrong, forgive me.
The challenger assumes everyone has stashes of scraps they keep. I also have a separate box I keep my "favorite" scraps in. So I dug into that to create this piece. I also used stamps by Queens Dresser Drawers (two girls) and Inque Boutique.

It's amazing how much you can accomplish when you are wide awake at 3:30 in the morning -- gotta love menopause! Today I created for two challenges before even getting ready for work. I actually do some of my best work in the morning because by the time the sun is setting I'm ready to crash. It's a vicious cycle I can't seem to break.

Oh, Louise, this is just beautiful! I would never have thought to do this with a puzzle piece--it's perfect! Oh, and I know what you mean about menopause and being up in the middle of the night. I haven't been able to sleep many nights for the past couple of years. Some nights are fine, and then others . . . well, I might as well just stay up the whole night! Take care! ~Jann
