Summer Tea Party

I'm posting this submission for Wednesday Stamper's Summer Tea Party challenge with a little trepidation. I like it -- but given that I was the girl who took drafting in high school rather than submit myself to art class, I guess I'm just a little unsure about this piece. I'd say it's a little outside what I usually create.
This piece caught me playing around with gesso for the first time. I created my background with some gesso and raspberry paint. I used this female image I found on some Crafty Secrets paper. She was holding a small coin bag, but I substituted my tea cup instead. The theme brought to mind gardens, so I decided to have butterflies flying from her cup.
Stamps used: Art Impressions, Cavallini, Studio G, Paperbag Studios

You did fabulously! Gesso is a wonderful product; it goes with just about anything! (I'm the one who took the art classes. LOL)

OH, OH, OH! Not only is this truly lovely and inspiring, but you took drafting in school, too!?!
I took drafting for 2 years and was about the only girl in there. No wonder I like you and your art!
