Wednesday Stamper

Tag Tuesday has kept me so busy I've not had time to participate in the Wednesday Stamper Challenge.  But this morning I found a little time to create something for this week's challenge of  "Carnival."
I found this stamp from the St. Nicholas collection (Oxford Impressions) would work quite well.
The gold square in the background I created using Mica Gloss paints and then scratching out the design free hand.  Not something I usually feel comfortable doing, but I think it came out well.

Beautifully done! Love the background, and all the little details. And I especially love that you thought "out of the box" with your Christmas stamps - that couple looks like they're enjoying Mardi Gras!

I like it! Did you use that pearl cardstock for the gold square? I love how it turned out!
