Earth Day is approaching on April 22nd, so I used that to launch this week's challenge which is to recycle, repurpose or reuse something in your tag. You can create the tag from a recycled package as I did or simply make an embellishment for your tag from something that's repurposed.
Then share with us what you did on your blog.

For my tag I recycled some Martha Stewart packaging. I love this stuff and I've used it many times in the past. Since the middle section appeared somewhat glossy, it seemed like it would take to alcohol inks and it did. I added the gold flecks with my Krylon pen as I was applying alcohol inks to it. And I also used my gold Krylon pen to color the metal hanger at the top so it would match the gold in my tag.

Hi just lovin the challenges that you are setting have a great day hugs from Daniele
Well, MS packaging never looked so good! Martha herself couldn't have come up with a prettier tag. Great job of r,r, and r! Fun challenge, too, Louise!
Louise, this is soooo very creative!! I love how you've used all of the great "properties" of the packaging... the glossy surface, the built-in hanger, the two holes at the bottom. It's positively gorgeous!!!
Beautiful tag Louise love the colours and how the packaging is the tag
I could think of so many uses for that Martha Stewart empty packaging!! I have something I saved from a game I recently purchased, Can't wait to get started on it!!
Louise your tag is just stunning - love the colors, touches of gold and the beautiful image!!

What a great idea to use the alcohol inks on that background. Gorgeous tag and great challenge!
This is really great, Louise, and you know, before I even scrolled down to see what you did, I thought of those very packages! Too funny, I kept all of them....
Very clever! Your tag is so pretty - I would never have known it was packaging just by looking at it!
Very pretty and creative tag, doesn't look recycled!!!!

Your tag is so clever and so pretty, too! Love that Mariposa strip along the bottom.
Very pretty Louise and great idea!
Hi Louise! Remember me from twopeas? I was referred to your blog tonight in the Stamp Haven chat. I just might have to scour the house for some unopened MS supplies! I will definitely be saving the packaging from now on. Love your tag. Great idea to use alcohol ink. I linked up a tag I made from a clothing tag. The stamping turned kind of funny/lighter when I clear embossed it. Maybe because the tag was a little shiny? Also could be because I had to use versamark and then dye ink because I didn't have pigment ink in navy blue. Still happy with the result. Thanks for the challenge, and nice to "see" you again!
so very clever and put together beautifully.Love your tags Louise, theyre so inspirational!
