and I really like it. Especially since I actually took needle and thread to fabric and sewed on it. SomethingI've avoided doing like the plague because to me it infers housework. But my question is: What do you call it? Any ideas?
It's a mixed media collage wall hanging!!! And a very nice one! I need to do more sewing on my stuff cause I really like the look of it. Good job. And it's only housework if you aren't enjoying it...
I'd call it gorgeous! *smiles* I'd say it's a beautiful hanging, waiting to adorn a guest's door or a small spot on a wall near a bedside table. Love it!
This is gorgeous....I would call it a Wallhanging. Looks great no matter what name you give it:) You could just call it "Thing"...or "A brown and beige thing I made that you can hang anywhere"
I'd call it a mixed media collage and you most definitely should do more of them! The combinations, composition, and overall vintage feel are wonderful - even the sewing ;-)
Louise, the "handle" on this lovely piece looks like some old French bag carriers that I have. What did you use? I was looking at mine today, wondering what exactly to do with it. Now I think I have an idea!
