Sunday Postcard Art

A big thanks to Mandy for asking me to be hostess for this Sunday's postcard art. Probably the last of the hearts we'll see as Valentine's Day weekend comes to a close. How nice that it was on a Saturday this year.

For my sample I swiped gesso across my canvas and then placed a metal textured heart into it to form my heart impression (you can see the impressions more if you click on the piece.)

I added some red ink to it to make it pop. Then I masked my heart before I stamped my music (Hampton Arts) across the background..

The border flourishes as as well as the gold embossed frame is from Autumn Leaves. The image is from CollageVisions.

Sentiment is from StampinUp.

Louise, I have to say that I am ashamed of meself! There is your beautifully elegant and crafted heart theme card and, on my blog, something which is probably the complete opposite! If I have a fault (well, I do have a few, more than a few) it is never taking things seriously and after seeing your fantastic card I am thinking I should change!!
